There is no better example of “The Arrogance of Religious Thought” (TART), than the mess of proposed and established anti-LGBTQI and anti-abortion legislation swamping the US right now (over 1,600 at the state level) . The conservative religious folks wanna shove their religion down everyone else’s throat-when their ideas are based on a 2,000 year-old book written by primitive people from one obscure corner of the globe, during rather ignorant and barbaric times.
And most of that book contains simple, ignorant, childish, and just plain wrong explanations leftover from the childhood of our species, with so much of it going directly against what we do know about how the world works now – science.
The early embryo is not a thinking, feeling, person – and there is no soul. The differences in sex and gender humans exhibit are normal variations of typical male and female forms due to biology: developed by genetic and hormonal effects in the womb. We know this.
