Christianity Insanity or XIANSANITY as I like to call it – in a nutshell:
God had Himself born just to kill Himself most gruesomely in order to save us all from eternal torture in His hell, which He created just for us, for a sin we didn’t commit – all because He LOVES us – and we better love Him back: OR ELSE
If someone approached you as an adult, past age 18 or so, having developed a normal sense of self and a typical healthy dose of skepticism and discernment – you would likely recoil, immediately, and if not rather strongly to the suggestion to join the Christian cult and buy into the above cruel and ridiculous absurdity hook, line, and sinker. It just wouldn’t happen with the vast majority of us.
But when you are slowly coerced over years of indoctrination as a cognitively immature and emotionally vulnerable child – you will most likely come to accept the blatant absurdity of any religion, Christianity being one of many and maybe one of the most pernicious and delusional.
And the elements of this ridiculous Christian doctrine are all borrowed from previous cultures: a stern patriarchal god, the idea of blood sacrifice for atonement, original sin, eternal punishment…a syncretic mish-mosh if ever there was one, of primitive bad ideas all rolled into one inane dogma – that would have most likely dissolved into obscurity like so many other savior cults of the first century without adoption and dissemination by the waning but hugely influential Roman Empire.
Bullshit knows no bounds when it comes to religious beliefs.
